Exercise
If you exercised regularly before your pregnancy, you can continue to do so in the first trimester unless your doctor has indicated otherwise.

You may need to adapt your exercise programme later in the pregnancy.

Weight Gain
Different women gain different amounts of weight, but you should not put on more than 10-12kg (22-28 lb) over the whole of your pregnancy.

Too much weight gain can affect your health and increase your blood pressure. But it is equally important that you do not try lose weight.
